This is the longplay of the Super Mario Bros. game. Deluxe, a collection with Super Mario Bros (originally released for the NES) and Super Mario Bros. – The Lost Levels (released for the Famicom Disk System exclusively in Japan). This collection only works on Game Boy Color and features, in addition to the games I mentioned, various extras such as the possibility of playing with Mario or Luigi between stages, new animations for the Toad and Princess Peach and also present as a calendar , collectible cards and medals, as well as a race mode against a Boo and also Challenge mode, where it is necessary to find 5 red coins and 1 Yoshi egg at each stage. It’s a great collection, even with the smaller screen resolution than the NES, the visible playing space is cropped, which results in some off-screen elements being off-screen that would be on-screen in the original. This adds a degree of difficulty in some stages like 1-3, but to compensate, the player is able to backtrack in the course a little bit, and can adjust the camera by pressing up or down on D-Pad or Select! It’s a collection extremely well done and respectful of the legacy of the Mario series.
I played all modes and got almost all the medals (unfortunately I could not get two of them because they require multiplayer link).
